This dark-skinned grape is most famous for producing the light, fruit driven reds of Beaujolais, France. It’s often found in blends with Pinot Noir. A naturally lighter red than some, the best examples can still be deep and complex, carrying notes of red cherry & strawberry.
A well-balanced red with a strong character and vibrant hue. Try with slow cooked meats or roasted aubergine.
