A small region in the Loire Valley, Sancerre is famed for crisp, aromatic white wines, which are made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Classic Sancerre wines are bracingly acidic, with strong aromas of gooseberry, grass, nettle & hints of stony minerality. The chalky, limestone & flint terroir contribute to the distinctive characteristics of Sancerre - particularly the gunflint aroma it’s known for.
This estate can be found to the west of the town Sancerre. The vines are planted in chalky clay soil that contains flint, which gives the wine a wonderful minerality. Elegant, clean and crisp - this wine makes an excellent aperitif. Vegetarian/Vegan.
