An aromatic Spanish white wine variety often found in the Rueda region, sometimes blended with Sauvignon Blanc. The dry, continental climate of the region, along with poor quality soils, brings out the best in these grapes. Full bodied examples display herbaceous & nutty characteristics, with balanced acidity & some ageing potential.
Specially produced by one of the best co-operatives in Northern Spain, which works with local growers to produce the finest quality grapes. Their modern winery then ferments grapes at low temperatures to preserve freshness. The wine is cold-stabilised and filtered before bottling. An excellently simple white that works well with light dishes and salads.
