Also known as Calabrese, this is the most prolific grape in Sicily, growing in the region of Calabria. The grape is named after the town Avola & enjoys hot Mediterranean climates. Depending on production methods, it can be made into oak-aged dark, dense reds with chocolate & raspberry notes or young, fresh reds which are juicy & plummy.
From a sunny Sicilian vineyard that prides itself on being as biodynamic as possible, this wine uses absolutely no added sulphur - giving it a purity of flavour and a soft, well rounded profile. Vegetarian/Vegan/Organic.
